DELPHIN Alka Up, 5kg bucket

Alkalinity Up 5 kg increases the alkalinity of the water. The recommended value is 80-120 ppm alkalinity.

To increase the alkalinity of the pool water, do the following:

Ideal Alkalinity 80-120 ppm (mg/l).

Alkalinity is a measure of the water's ability to withstand the addition of hydronium ions without reacting with a sharp drop in pH, i.e. a measure of the water's buffering capacity.

Dosage
To increase alkalinity by 10 ppm, add 200g of Alka Up per 10,000 litres of water.
Test the alkalinity after 30 minutes. If necessary, repeat the dosage.

Usage
First dissolve Alka Up in a bucket of water and pour the solution along the edge of the pool. Alternatively, slowly pour the granules directly into the pool drain with the circulation turned on.

Never mix dry chemicals with other chemicals, risk of severe reactions! Transport and protect the product out of the reach of children, in its original packaging, in a frost-free and dark place.

Content: 5kg. Sodium bicarbonate.

Recommended values

You should therefore pay close attention to the dosage and also regularly check and adjust the chlorine, pH and alkali levels to the recommended values:
Chlorine 1,0-1,5 mg/l;
pH 7.0-7.4;
Alkalinity 80-120 mg/l.

Maintenance

The basis of good bathing water is the mechanical purification of the water. Make sure to clean the pool often and backwash the filter once a week (more often if necessary).

It is preferable to lower the PH value in batches in order to reach the optimum PH value. After calculating how much agent should be added, add half and then wait 30-45 minutes and take another measurement. Depending on what the water test shows, the remaining PH agent is then added.
