Unattended hot tubs

As far as possible, you should check your hot tub every week. However, this is not always practical and it is best to follow the advice below:

1. Check PH value and alkalinity with the test equipment.
2. Adjust the alkalinity to between 80-120 mg/l and the pH to 7.0-7.4.
3. Reduce the water temperature slightly for less energy consumption.
4. Shock the water in the spa according to the dosage on the package.
   A suitable shock chlorination is (di-)chlorine powder that SpaCare Minichlor. An excellent option is also Delphin Oxi booster which consists of di-chlorine powder and some oxygen. The combination gives a very good result! Depending on the water quality, you can also lime and metal adjusting products need to be appointed.
5. Add long-acting disinfectant. E.g. 40 ml OxyPlus Activator Liquid.
