Digital pH meter
The pH value should be between 7.0 - 7.4 * Adjust with pH Plus or pH Minus.
- A high pH value results in poor chlorine disinfection, skin irritation, limescale and turbidity.
- Low pH results in aggressive water that wears out equipment and irritates eyes and mucous membranes.
Before using the pH meter, carefully remove the black top with the on/off button, see picture.
Poke the "piece of paper" so the battery makes contact.
Instructions for use
- Remove the protective cap.
- Put the meter on top
- Fill a clean, dry glass with 3-4 cm of bath water about 15-20 cm from the surface.
- Immerse the instrument in the water 20-30mm. Stir slowly until the pH value stabilises.
- Read the pH value.
- Read and switch off the meter. Put on the electrode cover. A small damp sponge in the cover is useful. It should not dry.
CALIBRATION
- Immerse the tester up to the maximum immersion level in pH 6.86 buffer solution
- Allow the reading to stabilise and using a small screwdriver adjust the calibration trimmer to read 6.9.
Calibration is now complete.
